After a great success of Last Nine Month’s Shoot It ! Photo Orb’s Monthly Photo Challenge, we are now proudly announcing topic for 10^th Photo Challenge, January, 2012.... "Colors"

Well, something about this project...

We, Photo Orb Institute will give you ONE SUBJECT or ONE THEME for every month and you have to submit related photographs in given timeline.

Our Senior Photographer/s will choose best Photographers out of received entries and we will showcase it during our PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM session (Which is on fourth Sunday of every month at Thane, Mumbai).

The Selected Best Photographer will get chance to exhibit their photographs in our PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION!

Topic for January Month: Colors

Last Date of Photo Submission : 21st January, 2012

Details Require (Must):

1. Name of the Photographer

2. Email Address

3. Mobile No

4. Complete Resident Address

5. Date of Birth

6. Camera Make and Model No (For example, Canon 50 D, Canon Powershot SX 30 IS, etc)

7. If possible, Technical details of Photograph like Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO, etc

General Rules for the participants:

1. You can submit Maximum 5 Photographs.

2. Entries must be submitted before 21st January, 2012

3. We, Photo Orb Institute reserved rights to change topic, date of submission, number of entries and showcasing date for the same.

4. The Photo Orb Institute may disqualify any entry with or without giving any prior notice to the photographer.

5. The Photo Orb Institute's decision will be final and no argument will be entertained later.

6. Entries violating social issues, religious group or nudity will not be accepted.

7. Submission of entries implies acceptance of rules of the competition. Judges decision will be final and binding.

8. If your entry is selected as the winner, we will require Original OR high resolution version of submitted image. This will be requested at the conclusion of the judging process.

9. All the entries sent for this competition must be original work of the entrants. He / She should keep ready RAW image / Original Image / Exif data etc. if asked by Judges.

10. Photo Orb Institute may use Winning, runner-up and Accepted images for the Press Publication, Any other way of Publicity, Promotions and for the Awareness campaigns.

DIGITAL CRITERIA :

1. Uploaded Photos must be in JPEG or in JPG format. No other format like RAW files, TIFF or any other will be accepted.

2. Files for upload must be no larger than 2 MB.(Resizing of Photographs in Photoshop or in any other software will be allowed)

3. Digital adjustments are only acceptable if limited to minor cleaning work (de-dusting), levels, curves, colour, saturation and contrast work.

4. The faithful representation of what you saw at the time of the shot being taken must be maintained. Cropping is allowed. Sandwich shots, double exposures and photographs which consist in any way of more than one separate photograph are not eligible. (e.g. HDR).

5. No watermarking or digital mattes.

6. Photographer’s name should not be visible on images (every effort is made to judge entries based solely on the image and without distractions)

7. Borders are not allowed....

Good News for all shutterbugs,

Now, participate in SHOOT IT ! Photo Orb’s Monthly photo challenge and Photo Orb will Award “Best Photographer of The Year” on the basis of Top performance of the photographer in the year.

How this will work?

On the basis of Photo Ranking ( 1^st, 2^nd , 3^rd, Runner up and Accepted), Photo Orb will provide “Some” points. The one who will accumulate maximum points will be awarded as “BEST PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR” at the end of Competition Year.

Ranking System:

1^st Rank : 10 points

2^nd Rank : 8 points

3^rd Rank : 6 points

Runner – Up : 4 points

Accepted : 2 points

Competition Year :

Every year, August to July will be considered as Competition Year. So, this year, we will consider entries from August 2011 to July, 2012.
